Which recognised units teach CRM?

The unit, opened part by part: where it is used, its code, what its elements and criteria are, the evidence it is assessed on, and what a learner leaves with.

General information about nationally recognised training and the national register, not advice on enrolling.

The frontline unit

SIRXCEG003

Build customer relationships and loyalty, the retail counterpart, whose record sits in the SIR Retail Services Training Package: a unit the register describes as covering the skills and knowledge for building customer relationships and fostering customer loyalty, filed under the competency field Customer Engagement and the unit sector Cross-Sector.

Core, not elective, in the Certificate III in Retail, the Certificate III in Business to Business Sales and the skill set Retail Customer Relationship, and written for frontline customer service roles across industry sectors.

Shown for the register's own record of it, not as a course for that industry.

Reading a course offer

What you can check yourself, in order, before you choose a course.

  1. Start with the code. All nationally recognised training is listed on the National Register, at training.gov.au, and the register holds the training packages, qualifications, units of competency, skill sets and accredited courses.
  2. Look the code up, and read the organisation's scope of registration. The register holds the details of every registered training organisation approved to deliver nationally recognised training, its registration status, and the training it is registered to deliver.
  3. Check that the product is still current. A registered training organisation must not allow anyone to commence training in a training product that has expired, been removed or been deleted from the register.
  4. Expect a statement of attainment at the end, issued by the training organisation, not by a third party that delivered part of the training.
